6.0/10

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, although in need of refurbishment, were spacious and provided a separate area for the kids. The service was top-notch, especially thanks to Leigh, our server, and the friendly staff at reception and in the bar. The location had its charm despite some untidiness nearby. Dining was below par with rushed service and poor-quality ingredients. Facilities were basic with room for improvement.

Rooms

The rooms felt a bit tired and dated but were adequate. A fan helped with the warmth, and the separate children's bedroom was a plus.

The staff, especially Leigh and the Russian lady in the bar, were superb. Reception was helpful with the wifi, and breakfast service was friendly.
Location

I found the hotel to be a cozy stay with exceptionally warm rooms. The cleanliness was top-notch, although the bathroom gave a hospital-like feel. The mattress was comfortable, but the pillows were a little too flat for my liking.

8.0/10

The hotel had some highs like good breakfast and friendly staff but also a downside with the heating not being on all night. The rooms, although old, were clean and comfortable, and the value for money was excellent considering the quality compared to higher-end chains.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms had lots of polished wooden furniture and, despite being a bit cold due to the heating, were clean and comfortable. I've paid double for poorer rooms in other hotels.
Service
9.0
The service was exceptional, the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and always on hand to help. The restaurant staff were prompt with meal deliveries and always had a smile.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal for various attractions like the Channel Tunnel, Royal Dockyard, and easy access to other towns like Rochester and Whitstable. It suited my needs perfectly.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast was good, although a bit cold on both mornings. The restaurant could offer more variety as there seemed to be limited options.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were adequate, and the ample parking spaces were convenient. However, there could have been some improvements in the breakfast options.

The breakfast room service was impeccably clean and great value at £52 per night. The only downside was the lack of a second bed side table which would have been useful.
Service
9.0
The staff, including room service, housekeeping, and welcoming staff, were friendly, helpful, and absolutely brilliant.
Location
7.0
The location was good for us with free parking and free wifi in the lounge to see various attractions. However, parts of the area felt like an unused building site.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was mixed, with the breakfast being more than adequate, but there were some issues with the desserts.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities overall were nice, but there were some minor issues with noise from the pipes in the room.
